Harmony of a Hunter - Hostile Shadows (Metroid 25th Anniversary)

Harmony of a Hunter - Hostile Shadows Metroid Prime 2 remix medley, boss rush style It's now been a bit over month since the release of the Harmony of a Hunter album from Shinesparkers that I'm honored to have been a part of. And yes, once again I used the same video setup as the last time. We'll call it synergy instead of laziness! :D Featuring Nate Horsfall's great art for the album cover (still at http://www.shinesparkers.net/harmonyofahunter/ by and by!) once again. Oh boy. Whereas Desperation was a joy and musically fluid, this was a mess from start to finish. I had to restart once because of a system crash (thank you again, Sonar :P) and after that it took a little shape but it's still probably one of the most disjointed unflowing works I've ever done. And while it hurts it, there's enough good stuff here that it's still made it pretty popular on the disk, even quite a few people's favorites! I think it's because of the great lack of Metroid Prime 2 tunes myself but who am I to turn away compliments. So yes, if you haven't already figured it out, Hostile Shadows is a medley of nearly every single boss theme in Metroid Prime 2, including Vs.Space Pirates, Vs.Amorbis, Vs.Chykka Larva, Vs.Chykka Adult, Vs.Quadraxis, and lots of Vs.Emperor Ing 1 & 2 all over it, not to mention the sprinklings of not only the Metroid Prime 2 theme, but a not so subtle nod to the original Metroid theme crammed in there too. Maybe if this had a video to it that linked up the fights cinematically in some way, the music would feel much better, but as it tends to stop or crescendo the pacing every time it switches gears to a different theme, I can see this song not being for everyone. But despite my concerns, it was still crafted with love and attention with the time I had left to crack the whip at it. So I hope the majority of you will enjoy and those that don't would prefer to just skip on by rather than grumpy thumbs, heheh. So till next time guys.
